Rohit
Former Fruit Vendor
Tolichowki, Hyderabad
Transformed from uncertain daily earnings to steady livelihood
From Fruit Vendor to Entrepreneur
Before LooCafe, Rohit would wake up at 4 AM to source fresh fruits from the wholesale market. His earnings depended entirely on the day's footfall and the perishability of his goods. One bad day could mean spoiled inventory and no income.
When he discovered LooCafe, he saw an opportunity to serve his community while building something sustainable. The transition wasn't easyβhe had to learn new skills, understand customer service in a different context, and adapt to running a facility rather than a cart.
Today, Rohit's LooCafe unit sees over 100 visitors daily. He serves chai with a smile, maintains spotless facilities, and has become a trusted figure in his neighborhood. His children now attend private school, and he's planning to help his brother start a LooCafe of his own.
"The best part," Rohit says, "is that I don't worry about rain ruining my goods or slow days leaving me with nothing. My income is stable, my family is secure, and I'm serving my community."
"I don't worry about rain ruining my goods anymore. My family is secure."
